| Yit Kuan Tao has been grown up through the long term misunderstandings
by outsiders,and owing to this external effect, the believers of Yit
Kuan Tao have nurtured the persistent unity st6rength under the patience
and responsibility-bearing for the sake of religions. And the establishment
of Chee Yin Temple is the utmost performance of this spirit. This
difficult temple-establishing process has not only utilized the religious
spirits of endurance, but also the best testification of "Man shall
master the universe". |

| In 1969, during the initial stage of the establishment of CHee Yin
Temple, the land it had occupied was just 1600 pings,Due to theinconveniences
in the transports, the delivery of the building mater- ials was difficult.
In addition,under the fund-shortage circumstances,the roof had to
be built with wooden structure covered with the asbestos shibgle for
the time being. |

| In 1978,the government had actively implemented the infrastructure
constructions,the Pai-Yee road from Chin Tam Li has opened a route
and constructed asphalt road with the length of 3 km. direction to
the top of mountain, then the transportation difficulties have been
solved. And owing to the conveniences brought by this mercy administration,
the expanding construction plan of Chee Yin temple cound have been
fulfilled step by step. |

| At first, the conference of believers has been opened, Under the
good response and donations from the participants,and upon the delicate
planning by the authority in charge, the simple temple has been decided
to expand to expand to a holy ground of Confucianism,Buddhism and
Taoism with condsiderably scales. Meanwhile, the neighboring land
with 3700 pings have been purchased and put into construction. |

| As the perfect organision and the smooth undertakings of construction,
the 3 storey building of the first stage construction has been copleted
in August 1981,with the area of 800 pings. The first and second floor
are used as the meditation rooms, and are provided to the poor students
for studying during the winter and summer vacation to prepare for
the examinations. The third floor has been established as reception
center, conference room, and culural activity center with capacity
of 800 persons, to cope with the needs of cultural renaissance movement
carried out by the government. |

| Along with the sommth completion of the construction works in the
first stage, the commencement of the "Ta-Shiew Treasure Hall" had
been carried out concurrently. The area is 500 pings, and was completed
in constrcuction in November 1982. The Opening ceremony was held jointly
by the then Deputy Secretary General of the Central Committee of KuoMinTang
Party of china, the chief of the Taipei Branch Kuan Chong and the
Chairman of the party in Taipei Province area. At this moment, the
ladder style 5 storey palace architecture has been totally completed
with the total area of more than 1700 pings,and it had cost $0.17
billion, the Ta Shieu Treasure Hall in the first floor after additional
construction(The fourth floor of the whole temple) has been planned
to use as the Kuan-Yin Buddha sanctuary, the second floor(The fifth
floor from the view of whole temple)has been planned as the "Treasure
Sanctuary of Three Saints". In the March of 1983, NT$30,000,000.00
have been alocated to construct the library with double storey with
an area of 300 pings. |

| It was completed in November 1985 and was opened in construction
by Chairman of Control Yuan Mr.Yee Choon Sian, and it had been officially
opened jointly by the Chairman of Control Yuan Mr.Yee Choon Sian,
Minister of Law Mr.Lee Yuan Chok, the chief officer of Taipei County
Mr.Lin Fong Chen. various VIPs and people from all walks of life.
This has indeed provided the silent and wide spaces for reading and
to fulfill the social functions of the religion. Hence, it had established
the perfect exemple of the combination of religion and cultures. |

| The establishment of Chee Yin Temple in the Ta-Sian Mountain is
the synthesis of the hardworkd of numerous believers. Under the delicate
plans and effective leadership of the Committee Chairman Lin Chee
Sian, the donations of monies of contributions of efforts from every
participants are all comtributed to the synthesis of hardwords. For
exemple, during the establishment of the temple, an unknown person
had donated 10,000 packs of cements,upon several enquiries made by
the committee Chairman Lin Chee Sian, he still refused to identify
himself. This has proved that the performance of good deeds the testification
of the Yee Kuan Tao's penetration into the hearts of the people. Upon
the completion of the expansion works, the CHee Yin Temple in the
Ta-Sian Mountain has a grand, noble outlook with a magnificent atmosphere.
It is the major bas of Yee Kuan Tao to carry out the affairs of the
group and preaching. This great and grand temple, with a great laum
sum of allocation and occupied a wide stretch of land, has not only
well known in Taiwan religious field, but also attracted many overseas
pilgrims from the South-East-Asia to pay their respects. It is indeed
the great contribution to the up-grading of the status of Yee Kuan
Tao in the religious field. |
